The Driving Theory Test Leeds | RH Driving School
The theory test is a 2 part test and both parts must be passed before you are able to apply for your practical driving test.
Multiple Choice theory Questions
The first part of the driving theory test is the MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS. You must reach the required percentage of correct answers or more to pass this section of the theory test.
Currently the pass mark for this section is 30 out of 35 possible correct answers.
The second part of the driving thoery test is the HAZARD PERCEPTION TEST. This part of the test requires you to watch a series ot 14 short video clips, in which you must click a computer mouse as soon as you see a hazard developing on the screen. The earlier you notice and react to the hazard by clicking the mouse, the more points you will score per video clip.
Currently the pass mark required for the hazard perception section is 44 out of 75 possible marks.
Both parts of the theory test are taken at the same time. You will complete the multiple choice section, have a short break, then start the hazard perception part.
Results of the driving theory test
You will recieve the result for your driving theory test immediately after you have finished your hazard perception test. With plenty of practise and advice from our driving instrutors you will be well prepared to pass the driving theory test successfully.
