The Practical Driving Test Leeds | RH Driving School
The practical driving test lasts for around 40 minutes and during this period you will be driving on a wide range of roads and conditions in the Harehills or Horsforth areas of Leeds. Before you can book the practical driving test you must have passed the driving theory test.
Where The Tests Are Taken
Leeds has 2 practical driving centres which are based in Harehills(East Leeds) and Horsforth(West Leeds). Depending on where you live or where you are taking your lessons will usually determine which test centre is suitable, but you can choose which one is best for you. Our driving instructors cover both driving test centres and know the driving test route very well so you can be assured that you will be well prepared on driving test day.
The DSA Driving Test Examiners
A DSA driving examiner will conduct your driving test. Your driving test will begin with an eyesight test where you must be able to read a number plate from a minimum required distance. This is then followed by the 'show me, tell me' exercise, which is a couple of questions based on basic vehicle checks. If you are successful with the eyesight test you will then be ready to carry out the main part of the practical driving test. The driving examiner will guide you around a driving test route in Leeds, giving you clear instructions in good time when they require you to carry out an exercise or manouvre.
During the practical driving test you will be required to perform 2 reversing exercises of the examiners choice and maybe an emergency stop exercise.
