Expert Pass Plus Lessons From RH Driving School Instructors
The Pass Plus Driving Course was introduced by the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) in 1995 to improve and enhance the driving skill of new drivers. The main purpose of the Pass Plus Driving Course is to reduce the high accident rate among the group of new drivers. Statistics show that 1 in 5 new drivers are involved in an accident within the first year of driving.
The Pass Plus Driving Course has to be taken within the first year of passing your practical driving test, by new drivers who hold a full driving licence. The course usually only requires 6-8 hours of tuition and you will be driving in more complex driving situations and conditions than you will have done when you were taking driving lessons as a learner driver.
How The Pass Plus Course Is Conducted
Their is no official driving test with the Pass Plus course but you will be closely assessed thoroughly by one of our Pass Plus registered driving instructors. You will be driving around advanced driving routes in the Leeds area and your driving instructor will mark and record your progess and ability.

If you are succesful with the Pass Plus Course You can recieve MASSIVE INSURANCE DISCOUNTS on your car insurance from many of the large and recommended insurance companies. Your driving instructor will fill out the relevant paper work and send it off to the Driving Standards Agency. You will then recieve the Pass Plus certificate through the post in a few days afterwards.

City Centre & Town Driving | Pass Plus Leeds
This is the first of 6 modules which begins with an introduction to the Pass Plus driving course and what is expected to pass. You will also covered a practical driving session which covers the essential elements of driving in Leeds City Centre, dealing with complex junctions, busy traffic and much more.
All Weather Driving | Pass Plus Leeds
This section will begin with a short briefing discussing the effects of driver and vehicle perfomance during different weather and lighting conditions. You will then be putting into practice what we have learnt with a practical pass plus driving lesson.
Driving Out Of Town | Country Road Driving | Pass Plus Leeds
After a short briefing you will be driving on rural roads and conditions. You must demonstrate that you are aware of the risk associated with rural roads and drive accordingly.
Night Driving | Pass Plus Leeds
This aspect of the pass plus course covers the risks of driving at night and reduced lighting conditions. You will need to demonstrate the correct procedures needed to drive at night safely, making sure that you make good use of the vehicles lighting system and taking other road users into account when it requires you to do so.
Driving On Dual Carriageways | Pass Plus Leeds
On this lesson you will learn and demonstrate how to join and leave dual carriageways safely. Your driving instructor will also teach and assess how you keep a safe distance between cars, observe and plan well ahead, and overtake safely.
Motorway Driving | Pass Plus Leeds
This is the final and very essential section of the pass plus driving course. It covers all the important safe aspects of driving on motorways at higher speeds.
You will be given a full brief at the beginning of the driving lesson followed by practical driving. Topics covered include joining and leaving motorways, fatigue, motorway breakdown procedures, overtaking safely and lane discipline.
